Limitations

Yes, there are a few, and we'll actually tell you what they are! Did your present TV provider ever tell you what their limitations were?

1. There's no “TV Guide” ! (at least, not just one). You don't need one! Think about it ... you're going to be able to watch whatever you want, when you want. You no longer have to find out what day and time your cable or satellite company will “let you watch what they're showing”. You can watch it anytime! There are, of course, exceptions. If you want to watch a foreign TV station, you can go look at their specific channel program guide. If you want to watch a live sporting event, you'll obviously need to know what day and time it's on, too. But the old method of being forced to schedule YOUR viewing time to match when someone else is showing something, has fairly well gone the way of the dinosaurs. Compare the situation to personal transportation. In the past, you had to know the bus schedule to catch the bus. You had to line up and wait for the bus, and you had to pay to ride the bus on every trip. Now you own your own a car, a chauffeur, a pilot, and a captain. You go where you want, when you want, and you don't have to buy a ticket.

2. At first, you may feel like "a kid in a candy store". Well, yes, we hear that frequently. You see so much candy, you don't know how to pick just one item. Start anywhere! Use your remote to click on the first "source" that catches your eye? It's like starting at page 1 of a new magazine! Open it up, and see what's inside. If it's something you've never seen before or never even knew existed, spend a few minutes watching and see it you like it. If you do, make a note of what it's called and where you found it. A common comment we get several days after people stop feeling like that kid in the candy store is how much they USED TO spend for TV services... and how little they actually got that entertained them! They were never aware of how much new, quality videos there were that they could have been watching all this time. For free. Too bad!

3. You may only get 80 - 90% of the old content. Right 90% of the what you get now, plus several thousand per cent MORE, NEW content than before! Don't worry if this trade-off is worth it, though. If you think you might miss your "local" weather telecast, you'll discover that you'll be able to see your local forecast from a digital channel, updated every 15 minutes. Better than having to make sure you turned on your TV in time to catch the local weather on the local station. Now, it's literally “YOUR forecast, when YOU want it” ... plus you'll be able to see the "local" forecast for almost any other locations in the world (think of your upcoming vacation). All free.

4. We didn't warn you about your "friends"! Ah yes, the fair-weather friends! As soon as people who were simply "work buddies", "almost" relatives, or down-the-street neighbours find out that you can watch whatever you like whenever you want, you'll suddenly find that you're never alone again. Until they get their own system, those people will quickly consider themselves your "Best Friend Forever". Sorry, but there isn't any way to avoid this limitation. Unless you keep your blinds closed and you don't answer your doorbell!

5. There aren't enough hours in the day to watch all this new stuff! Sorry! You're right! You' have to take control of your "wants", and carefully consider your "needs". Just remember, what you don't see today, you can see tomorrow. You might "want" to discover ALL of your new world, non-stop. But pace yourself! You DON'T have to watch every single sporting event from the hundreds available every day on WatchItFree.TV. You DO have a "need" to get up and go to work tomorrow morning! Besides, everything will still be here waiting for you. Whenever you want to watch it! You won't have to go through the hassle and expense of downloading anything anymore, either. Compare this to how you're forced right now (cable, satellite, or broadcast TV) to be in front of your TV at a specified time to watch what you want, because that's when "they" want to show it.

6. We don't create, store, modify, encrypt, decrypt, delay, limit, restrict, or otherwise handle ANY of the content you watch. It all comes straight to you, as directly as the Internet can get it there. That means that you're completely and directly connected to virtually every content provider on the planet! We don't need to be here, in order for you to watch everything. Even if we're suddenly teleported to a faraway star by aliens, you'll be able to watch content directly from the source "forever", not as long as (for example) your cable company thinks they want to provide it to you, OR (another example) not just until you get hooked on the content while it's free and then your TV service provider moves it to a more-costly item by "adjusting" your monthly bill.
